Parquet Wood Flooring
Originating in France, Parquet is decorative wooden flooring that is quite unique. It is quite often called a mosaic because it is made from several smaller wooden slats. The flooring can be laid out in any geometrical pattern which can range from simple designs to custom designs elaborate patterns.
To highlight a particular area or a room as a whole, various shades, grains and woods can be used. Even though the design of the parquet wood flooring is complex, maintaining it is quite easy. To make these floors last longer and keep them looking like new, the floors should be frequently swept and cleaned, spills should not be allowed to stay for long and scratches from furniture should be avoided by placing plastics or glides under the furniture.
However, mopping should only be done when needed and too much moisture should be avoided since water can damage the floor. More details on maintenance can be asked for from the installer or the manufacturer.
